More emails between scientists were released today, with the release coming just before another set of UN sponsored climate talks. It appears that the people who stole the emails and released them are trying to again cause issues with the climate talks.
These emails look like they are genuine but probably just more of the ones released two years ago and not new ones. Do they prove anything the first set were unable to prove? No, there is nothing new here. It rehashes the same set of “out-of-context snippets of personal emails in their effort to try to confuse the public about the science and thereby forestall any action.”
While there is always room in the scientific community for informed debate and for people to disagree there should never be tolerance for one side or the other to break the law. And just because one side may think the other is being unethical that doesn’t mean they can break the law to try to discredit them. If your science is better then use your science to show the other side is wrong.
And for the people saying warming is coming why do you always have to insist that the worst case is what will happen when he best we can do is a range of possibilities. Quit trying to scare people and stick to just doing the science OK.
